Cody Rasmussen-Ivey, Ph.D.
FOUNDER | CEO
Cody trained at the Allen Discovery Center for Regenerative Medicine (Tufts University) in Professor Michael Levin’s lab, where he co-led a $16M DARPA-funded program integrating machine learning, bioelectric modulation, and advanced delivery concepts for regenerative applications. He previously held a Ruth L. Kirschstein fellowship at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, developing multi-omics and bioinformatics approaches to mechanistic biology. In industry, he generated the first iPSC lines for elephant, hyrax, and roan antelope, at COLOSSAL BIOSCIENCES contributing to patentable innovation and fundable R&D milestones. He is a named inventor on two patents and is building GALVANIS with a single bias:
Make regenerative medicine deterministic; quantify the mechanism and you will create meaningful therapies.
Execution Team
Galvanis is designed as a focused development company. Strategy, assay architecture, and program leadership remain centralized. Synthesis, screening, ocular models, and formulation are executed with specialist external partners.
This keeps fixed burn lean and directs capital into decisive experiments.
